Dr. Meena Kumari Sharma, is currently holding the position of Head and Professor in Civil Engineering Department, Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ). She did her B.E. in Civil Engineering from Government Engineering College Kota (now RTU), M.Tech in Environmental Engineering from MNIT, Jaipur. Thereafter, she did her doctoral research work in the field of onsite/community-based sanitation systems from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee.
She has 18 years of teaching and research experience while working with various Institutions. She has published 21 research and conceptual papers in various national and international SCI/Scopus indexed journals and filed 3 patents in the area of water and sanitation. She has presented more than 25 research papers in various conferences in India & Abroad. She has also authored a book on Environmental Studies and Disaster Management.
After joining MUJ, she has secured several research and consultancy projects from Department of Science and Technology, Government of Rajasthan, India. She is coordinating various training programs by DST-Rajasthan in the welfare of rural society.
She is guiding three PhD research scholars and Master students in their dissertation and project work. She is a life member of Indian Society for Technical Education and Indian Water Works Association and an associate member of Institute of Engineers.
